THAT DAY (SHORT FILM)
Short film number 4 from The Filmmaker's Journey. In December 2011 DP Philip Bloom mentioned that he had some spare time in Feb 2012 and asked if I had anything to shoot. Reality is, I had nothing. HOST (SHORT FILM)
A dark thriller that came from my desire to really test my writing skills. I wanted to see what I could do with one actor, one location, one day filming with no budget. To make things even more difficult, the actor will be tied to a chair for the whole film. LOVE LIKE HERS (SHORT FILM)
My first major short film project, with a budget, and quite simply my biggest challenge to date. A budget of £10k, 5 actors, 30+ crew, 6 locations, and just 3 filming days. It didn't end there, we decided to shoot it on S16mm! Shooting on film has installed some good old fashioned filmmaking discipline that can often be missed in this digital age.
